Reiki is a type of holistic energy healing that originated in Japan. Reiki is a complimentary treatment to one’s health care regimen. It uses universal life force energy to promote relaxation and reduce stress which helps facilitate the body’s natural healing process. Reiki will treat mental and emotional conditions as well physical ailments.
How it works: The reiki practitioner channels the universal energy and uses hands-on or near the body to treat the energetic pathways while the client remains in a relaxed state, either sitting or lying down. The energy is transferred from the practitioner to the client. Reiki can also be performed from a distance when in-person healing is not feasible.
