“A bayberry candle burned to the socket brings food to the larder and gold to the pocket.”

Traditionally burned on Yule, Christmas Eve, or New Year’s Eve, bayberry candles are believed to invite prosperity, abundance, and good fortune into the coming year. The candle should be burned all the way down — never blown out — to honor the magic and intention behind it.
