🎄💜 Annual Holiday Wreath Silent Auction – Supporting the Alzheimer’s Association 💜🎄

The holidays are a time for giving, and we’re proud to once again host our Annual Holiday Wreath Silent Auction here at Charter Senior Living of Godfrey!

Local businesses, families, and team members have donated beautifully decorated wreaths, each one representing hope, love, and support for those impacted by Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. Proceeds from the silent auction directly benefit the Alzheimer’s Association, helping fund vital research, education, and support services for families and caregivers.

What a Joyful Night! 🎶
Today we had the honor of welcoming the Alton Youth Symphony to our community, and wow — what an unforgettable performance! Our residents were all smiles as the talented young musicians filled the room with beautiful music and incredible energy.

A huge thank you to these amazing students for sharing their gifts with us. ❤️
It was a truly heart-warming experience!

🧤🎄 It’s National Mitten Tree Day! 🎄🧤

Today, we’re celebrating the warmth of hands and hearts by decorating our very own Mitten Tree! Every mitten added to our tree isn’t just a decoration; it’s a symbol of love, kindness, and the joy of giving during the chilly winter months.

Everyone is invited to help “warm up” the season by contributing mittens, gloves, or hats to our giving tree. These items will be donated to local shelters and families in need.

Let’s come together, spread warmth, and turn our community tree into a tower of compassion. ❄️💙

🌟 Staff Spotlight: Sharonda, LPN 🌟

Today we’d love to shine a light on one of our amazing nurses, Sharonda — a compassionate, dedicated member of our team who brings so much warmth and heart to our community.

Sharonda was born in California but now calls Godfrey home. She’s a proud mom of two boys, ages 19 and 12, and when she’s not caring for our residents, you can find her enjoying bowling, crafting, or catching up on some much-deserved SLEEP 😆.

Her journey into nursing is nothing short of inspiring. After her youngest son became seriously ill, Sharonda spent three months living at Children’s Hospital. It was during that difficult time that the incredible nurses caring for her son kept her grounded and supported. Their compassion changed her life. The very next year, in 2015, she applied to nursing school — determined to give other families the same comfort and care that had been given to hers.

Today, she does exactly that. Sharonda pours her heart into helping people, and it shows in every interaction.

We are so grateful to have you as part of our team, Sharonda. Thank you for all you do for our residents, their families, and our community. 💙✨
