For the past several years, I have been providing private training to several ER Doctors, Physician Assistants, and Wilderness and Austere Medicine Fellowship students from Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. This year's training was to focus on what skills are needed to spend an unplanned night in the woods with minimal equipment (minus the great dinner that JD cooked😀). Over two days and one 19-degree cold night, the students learned:

Knife/saw/axe safety and use
Water procurement
Fire building
Knots
Emergency shelter construction
Local plant and tree identification and uses
Outdoor cooking methods

Awesome job by these folks and I am blessed 🙏 to be able to pass on these skills. If you would like to set up some private training, please reach out to us.

Great year at the New Hampshire Outdoor Learning Center. Many thanks to Craig Poirier for helping me with all of the classes and taking all of the photos throughout the year. I am looking forward to next year.

We finished up the last Survival 101 and Land Navigation classes for the year at the NHOLC New Hampshire Outdoor Learning Center last weekend. Good Day Everyone,
Just wanted to remind everyone that the weekend of Oct. 18th-19th is our last SOLO Wilderness First Aid class of the year. We still have a few spots left. So if your almost due for re-cert or have been think up clicking it up a notch on your first aid skills this is the class to get it done. Anyone who spends time in the woods owes to themselves to be prepared and SOLO is the best. Looking forward to seeing you there. Thanks,

A few days late, but just wanted to thank Jae and No Monkey Business Dog Training. Oliver and I have been training there for the past four months and Jae's private sessions have been exactly what we have been looking for. We look forward to our next round of training.
