Always do dry runs before breaking out the glue. As you can see, one of those clamps is not happy to be participating. Gonna swap that out for a stronger clamp. Now... Time for and a hickory glue-up.

When I started making these, I had no idea I would be enjoying it so much. Especially once the carving tools came out. Started one today that may or may not have a whale tail at the end.

Finished carving the walnut knife order. Now on to the cherry one. Fret not, there will be Guinness later.

2025 was a rough year as far as being in the shop goes. I was going through PT for a broken hand that took the better part of a year to get over. My hand is still not the way it was. It never will be. And I'm (finally) ok with that. Mostly... 🙂

There were a few other challenges along the way, but that was the one that took the most of my energy to get over. After a year of reflection and getting myself sorted, I am finally happy to be back in the shop full time again. Like George on Seinfeld would say:

"I'm back, baby!"

Over the past few weeks, my super supportive wife helped me finish these websites and update both my gallery and set up a new store. For anyone interested, below are links to the new 1810 store to purchase items, or start a commission with me.
