Curry Health Foundation Growing healthy communities within Curry County

03/18/2026

Due to new federal rules, some OHP members will need to renew more often and meet work or activity hours starting in 2027.

We understand that people have questions about what’s ahead. OHA is in the planning stages of how to put new federal rules into effect and keep people covered, to the greatest extent possible.

Please visit OHA’s web page with more information about federal changes: https://ow.ly/Nvan50YuVZx

Limited number of tickets are available. Please reach out to any Rotary member or Curry Health Foundation.

Phone Scam Alert – Spoofed Call Using Curry Medical Center’s Number

We want to let the community know that someone reported receiving a call that appeared to come from Curry Medical Center (541.412.2000). In the call, the caller tried to sell a medical device.
This was a spoofed call, meaning the caller ID was intentionally faked to look like it came from us.

A quick reminder that CHN, Curry General Hospital, and all of our clinics—including Curry Medical Center—do not call people to sell products, equipment, or medical devices.

The issue has been reported to the FCC and to our telecom vendor for review.

If you receive a call that seems unusual, the safest approach is to avoid engaging, avoid giving any personal information, and avoid answering questions that could be recorded for misuse. If you receive one of these calls, here is the link to file a complaint with the FCC: https://consumercomplaints.fcc.gov/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=39744

Thank you to the community member who brought this to our attention. Sharing information like this helps protect others in our community.

CCEC: Weekend Wind Event - Member Advisory

We want to inform you about significant weather conditions forecasted for our service territory this weekend. The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for our region.

Expected Conditions:
Saturday, October 25th

High winds are expected across the region throughout the day
Coastal areas and Highway 101 will be particularly affected
Inland areas may also experience gusty conditions

Potential Service Impacts:
High winds may cause tree limbs and debris to contact power lines, which could result in service interruptions across multiple areas.

Member Preparedness:
- Secure loose outdoor objects
- Charge essential devices and electronics
- Locate flashlights and verify battery supplies
- Review plans for medical equipment requiring power

Our Commitment:
Our line crews are fully prepared and on standby to respond quickly and safely to restore power to affected members. We will provide updates as conditions develop.

Stay safe this weekend and thank you for being a CCEC member.

IMPORTANT: To report power outages, please call 1-866-352-9044. Outage reports cannot be processed via social media.
