Finally landed in India—after many delays, a month of nonstop work, moving my office & also my home! ... endless organizing, planning, and shifting plans yet again. As I arrived, I opened a bag I had stored here—clothes I only use in India. It burst open in a cloud of mold. I’m extremely allergic. My body reacted instantly: throat tightened, headache set in, chills followed and a deep cough developed. If that weren't enough, what many would call “the flu” set in.
Something inside said oh ok, I know what we are doing....
This is my body choosing a reset.
A deliberate healing cycle. TRUST THIS.
Fear and trust are not just emotional states—they are energetic environments. Each creates a very different internal climate within the body, the nervous system, and the mind.
Fear constricts.
It tightens breath, narrows perception, and pulls the nervous system into vigilance and defense. In fear, the body prioritizes survival over repair. Digestion slows. Immune intelligence becomes confused. Muscles brace. Tissues harden. Over time, this contracted state becomes familiar—and pathology finds fertile ground. Not because the body is failing, but because it is stuck in protection.
Pathology thrives in fear because fear fragments communication.
Cells stop listening as clearly. Systems stop cooperating. The body becomes louder in its symptoms because it is no longer being trusted to self-regulate—it is being overridden, monitored, and controlled.
Trust, on the other hand, is a higher resonance.
Trust expands.
It softens the nervous system, widens perception, and signals safety at the deepest biological level. In trust, the body shifts from defense into repair. Breath deepens. Circulation improves. Inflammation quiets. The innate intelligence of the body is no longer interrupted—it is invited to lead.
Trust does not mean denial.
It does not ignore symptoms or bypass reality.
Trust means listening without panic. Responding without force. Allowing the body’s wisdom to organize healing in its own precise timing.
When trust is present, coherence emerges.
Systems begin speaking to one another again. Healing becomes less about “fixing” and more about restoring relationship—between mind and body, nervous system and environment, heart and intuition.
Fear asks, “What’s wrong with me?”
Trust asks, “What is my body asking for?”
And the body responds very differently to each question.
Healing accelerates not through force, but through resonance.
Trust carries a frequency the body recognizes as home.
I spent days in bed—sweating, nearly passing out just trying to reach the bathroom, emptying in every way, barely eating. And now, five or six days later, I feel astonishingly clear and renewed.
Moments like this remind me how profoundly wise the body is—and how incredibly intuitive the nervous system truly is. When we finally create space, especially on retreat or vacation, the body recognizes the opportunity to do the deep internal work it’s been waiting to complete.
Now I’m on the upswing—resting in Kovalam, surrounded by prehistoric green jungle, lush and alive. Meditating, breathing, and contemplating how to creatively continue offering service in my life—giving away the gifts I’ve been given. Gratitude is vibrating strongly in me now.
Wellness Wisdom Lesson:
I TRUST the innate intelligence of the body and honoring the cycles of rest, release, and renewal. I promise to serve from a place of presence and receptivity—allowing healing to move through me freely, so I may be ever more an expression of the life force and vitality alive within me 🌺
