Congrats to Golden Endurance coaches Mark Marzen () and Sammie Lewis () for both going sub-24 at the Bear 100 the past weekend!

This was Mark's TWENTIETH 100 mile finish and Sammie's 1st. She ran the fastest 4th female time in Bear history in her first mountain hundred (aka this sport is just continuing to get FAST).

Summer semester at University of Colorado PT school is underway! This year and .dpt are teaching a new elective course (with the fabulous ) for the 3rd year students all about treating runners. Let’s bring some more PTs into the world that never say ‘just don’t run so much’ (one of the most lazy non-answers in health care) and actually facilitate your recovery, development, and performance!

Nothing makes you reflect on current research and clinical practice quite like having to teach it to others.

It’s been quite the last couple of weeks as ultra season really gets going and GE athletes have been out sending it…

💥 and Quentin S flew at the Desert Rats 50 and 100k’s on their ways to longer efforts later this year
💥 set a new personal record at the 24 hour distance, running 137 miles and winning the event
💥Erica Patrick completed her third 100 mile race at the Zion 100
💥 .donovan.dpt beat his own course record at Tour De Dodge 50k by 18 minutes!
💥 crushed her 50k PR and placed 6th at the Mad City 50k, which was this year’s USATF 50k National Championships
💥 and coach raced the Gorge Waterfalls 100k, with Ellen placing 13th in a stacked field for her first go at the distance

got to enjoy ALL the green opening up the trail racing season at The Big Alta 50k. A 50k with >7k of climbing is no small challenge coming out of winter and Vail was able to put his climbing legs to the test 👏 That’s a whole lot of fitness to be able to build off of for this year!
