💛 “The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.” - Carl Rogers

At Ardern Psychology, we believe self-acceptance is the first step toward growth. Therapy provides a safe space to explore, understand, and embrace yourself - so real change can happen naturally, from a place of compassion and support. 🤝

Growth isn’t one size fits all - it’s personal 🌱✨

A progressive mindset means understanding that you are always evolving.
Not fixed, not stuck, not behind 🤍

In therapy, growth doesn’t follow a straight line and it doesn’t look the same for everyone 🌿 Some seasons feel expansive, others quiet and reflective, and both matter.

Like spring, change happens gradually 🌸 Beneath the surface, something is always shifting, rooting, becoming.

The work isn’t about rushing the process, it’s about learning to understand yourself as you grow through it. 🌷

Connect to get started with your chapter of growth.

You don’t need the perfect words. 💬
You don’t need a “good enough” reason. ❌
You don’t even need to feel ready. 🤷‍♂️

You just need a moment of honesty and a willingness to take the first step.

👪 Child and family therapy offers a supportive space to collaborate with your child/teen and caregivers, identifying strengths and challenges while building connection, confidence, and stability. 🌟

Sessions typically last 50–60 minutes and can take many forms. Often, the therapist meets individually with a child, with parents or caregivers invited into the session as needed, or in special sessions to discuss parenting and caregiving strategies.

At Ardern Psychology, we work with children aged 10 and up and families of all types, supporting concerns such as:
• Family relationships and conflict
• Life transitions and family changes
• Grief, loss, and trauma
• Emotional and behavioral concerns
• LGBTQIA+ issues and gender identity
• School-related concerns 🌿

This isn’t a complete list. If your child or family is struggling with something not mentioned, we welcome you to reach out to see how we may be able to help.

Spring is a time of renewal and nurturing growth 🌿

While many people think of January 1st as the time to set goals, spring often offers a more natural moment for reflection and change. Longer days and more sunlight can shift our energy, mood, and motivation. ☀️

Just as we clear out our homes during spring cleaning, creating space in our environment can bring clarity and reduce distractions.

Take a moment to notice what your mind and body are telling you. What thoughts keep returning? How is your energy? What’s happening in your relationships?

One small shift can lead to meaningful change.

If you’re feeling ready for a reset, therapy can be a supportive place to begin. Connect with Ardern Psychology to schedule a time to talk. 💬
