Today I’m sharing a conversation that’s very close to my heart. 💙

I had the honor of sitting down with holistic veterinarian Dr. Stephanie “Dogtor” Duno for my very first interview on the SoulPet channel. We talked about caring for our beloved animals at the end of life, blending traditional veterinary medicine, Chinese medicine, and energy work - and most importantly, how to walk this path with love and compassion.

Our conversation is lovingly framed around Stephanie’s own soul dog, Tequeno, who crossed to the Rainbow Bridge a year ago. She shares how her grief and love for Teque-Teque inspired her to start her mobile practice, Sana Sana, with a special focus on end-of-life care for soulpets.

We talk about:
• How she supports families through difficult decisions
• What to expect during an assisted crossing (euthanasia)
• What our animals teach us as they approach the end of life

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with veterinarians, vet techs, veterinary nurses, and assistants - especially in end-of-life and hospice care.

One thing has always stood out to me:
Veterinary staff carry an enormous emotional load, often with very little support.

Since I was a little girl, my dream was to work with horses.
