It takes an average of 10 years for a woman to be diagnosed with endometriosis. Our healthcare towards women is changing, but we have a long way to go.

Before this surgery, I'd been told I was normal, I'd just needed to meditate more (!!!??? Clearly they didn't know who they were talking to...). Endometriosis is rated as one of the top 20 most painful conditions in the world! It is a neurological, inflammatory, autoimmune, genetic, yada yada yada WHOLE-PERSON impacting experience.

Recently out of a toxic relationship? Did you just distance yourself from harmful family dynamics? Do you feel like you're waiting for the relief to start?

When we finally change the surroundings that were causing distress, it makes sense that our body would immediately feel safe again. right? As nice as that would be, the nervous system does need to be 100% sure it's okay to relax into the newfound safety. Patience and repetition are the best things you can give yourself to help your system reset. 🔑
