was a psychotherapist for a decade and then served in roles of Clinical Director, Administrator and Executive Director of psychiatric facilities. She was a founding partner of the Eating Recovery Center (www.eatingrecoverycenter.com) in Denver, CO and served on the Board of Lakeview Health (www.lakeviewhealth.com) in Jacksonville, FL. She founded WholeHearted, Inc in 2007 as a way to offer a variety of services directed toward creating opportunities for individual transformation – through developing healthcare centers of excellence, creating transformative employment experiences, and through supporting personal and spiritual growth through retreats, spiritual education and pilgrimages. Susan completed her Doctor of Ministry Degree at the University of Creation Spirituality in 2006 under the leadership and guidance of Matthew Fox. In 2006 she worked with Matthew Fox and colleagues to create Creation Spirituality Communities, a non-profit organization that serves to Create, Network and Support Creation Spirituality Communities and individuals. Dr. Evans has a passion for the blend of creativity, spirituality, ecology and social justice. She enjoys opportunities to co-create health and wellness, whether it be via a retreat, a treatment center, a gathering of artists, through spiritual community or through collaborative projects with colleagues and with her husband, Leon, who recently retired from his medical practice of psychiatry.
