We feel incredibly honored to have welcomed Tess Johnson to Golden Pond today!

Tess shared her inspiring journey, giving us a behind-the-scenes look at her experiences competing at the Olympic Games, along with stories, photos, and insights that truly captivated everyone in the room.

It was such a special opportunity for our residents and team to hear firsthand about the dedication, resilience, and passion it takes to perform at the highest level. We are so grateful she took the time to spend with our community! What an unforgettable afternoon!

🏀 Senior Slam Dunk Showdown – March Madness!
Residents will compete in our own bracket-style soft basketball tournament to crown the Golden Pond MVP Champion. Expect game-day music, cheering, and maybe even a resident vs. staff showdown!

Certified Health Coach Erin Brock joins us on March 31 at 10:00 AM (Cody Room) to share simple, practical strategies for strength, balance, and healthy aging.

Supporting Families Through the Dementia Journey

At Golden Pond, we recognize that dementia impacts not only those diagnosed, but also the families who love and care for them. Navigating this journey can be overwhelming, and meaningful support can make a lasting difference.

We are pleased to offer a Family Support Group for caregivers and loved ones of individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia. This group is designed to foster connection, understanding, and shared learning in a supportive environment.

Topics include:

Enhancing visits and communication

Practical caregiving approaches

Understanding changes associated with dementia

Self-care strategies for caregivers

Sessions focus on validating emotions, building coping skills, and creating a sense of community among participants who truly understand one another’s experiences.

The group is facilitated by Marci Gerke, LPN, Regional Director of Memory Care Services, whose experience and compassionate approach help ensure each session is both informative and supportive.

Peace of Mind Starts with Preparation

Power outages raise questions for families—about safety, comfort, and continuity of care.

Our community is prepared with a backup generator so residents can continue their daily lives with minimal impact, even during unexpected outages.
