Today is DID Awareness Day.

Today, we raise awareness for Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) and the many individuals living with the impacts of complex trauma and dissociation.

DID is a trauma-related condition that develops as a survival response to overwhelming, often early, experiences. Yet despite growing research and understanding, stigma and misinformation persist.

At An Infinite Mind, we are committed to:
✨ Education rooted in clinical research
✨ Survivor-centered storytelling
✨ Reducing stigma through compassionate conversations

Awareness matters — because understanding creates safety.

Education creates access.
And community creates hope.

Today and every day, we stand with survivors.

Meet the Board at An Infinite Mind (AIM) 🧡🐝

We’re proud to introduce Jennifer Napier, who joined the Board of An Infinite Mind in 2023 and serves as our Director of Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (DEIJ) and Volunteer Coordinator.

Jennifer is deeply committed to cultivating trauma-informed, inclusive spaces where survivors of complex trauma and dissociation are met with dignity, respect, and belonging. At AIM, she leads volunteer engagement, strengthens accessibility efforts, and helps shape policies and community standards grounded in justice-centered principles.

Clinically, Jennifer works with children and adolescents using trauma-focused therapeutic models. She also brings lived experience of complex trauma to her advocacy — integrating professional expertise with embodied understanding in a way that strengthens our entire community.

Outside of her work, Jennifer is a Disney runner and dragon boat paddler who values resilience, teamwork, and endurance — qualities that also define her leadership.

We’re grateful for Jennifer’s steady, values-driven presence on the AIM Board. 🧡

Meet the Board at An Infinite Mind (AIM) 🧡🐝

We’re honored to introduce Alix Amar, LCSW, Board Member at An Infinite Mind.

Alix is a psychotherapist who has been in private practice for more than 30 years, specializing in work with individuals who have experienced early childhood trauma and dissociative identities. Her decades of clinical experience bring depth, compassion, and insight to the AIM community.

She is also the creator of Dissociative Creative Explorations, an online program offering weekly Creative Journal gatherings and other creative workshops designed specifically for the dissociative community — blending healing, expression, and connection.

Alix attended AIM’s second conference and has been a steady, supportive presence ever since. Her commitment to increasing understanding of dissociation and DID — among survivors, supporters, professionals, and the broader public — aligns deeply with our mission.

We are grateful for Alix’s leadership, wisdom, and heart in this work.

“My first conference in 2017, I attended as a therapist. I was shy, scared, and unable to tell anyone that I was also a system. But I met Olga Trujillo, who wrote Sum of My Parts, and a few years later Jamie Marich who wrote Dissociation Made Simple — and both changed my life. They taught me I didn’t need to carry shame, and little by little, I became proud of my system of parts.

This year, being able to help newer DID folks feel that same freedom through my book feels like a full-circle miracle. I’m so grateful, and believe more than ever that service is justice — and inspiring others to be free is one of the most powerful ways to heal.

Thank you, An Infinite Mind and Jaime Pollack, for creating such a beautiful opportunity for healing in our community. Being able to give back is a wonderful gift!”

— Atash Yaghmaian, Conference Speaker & Attendee (Shared with permission)

Stories like this are why we do this work.

Thank you, Atash, for trusting our community with your journey. 🧡 🐝

18 Years of An Infinite Mind 🧡 🐝

This week, we’re celebrating a powerful milestone — 18 years of An Infinite Mind.

For 18 years, AIM has been committed to education, awareness, and community for those impacted by complex trauma and dissociation. What began as a vision to create connection and understanding has grown into conferences, speaker series, story sharing, resources, and a global network of survivors, clinicians, advocates, and allies.

Because of this community:
✨ Survivors have felt seen and believed.
✨ Clinicians have gained deeper trauma-informed insight.
✨ Families have found language, tools, and hope.
✨ Conversations that once felt impossible are now happening openly.

We are deeply grateful to all board members, volunteers, speakers, donors, and attendees who have helped carry this mission forward over the past 18 years.

The work continues — and the next chapter is just beginning.

Thank you for being part of AIM’s story. Please share your AIM memories below 🧡 🐝

🎬 A Resource We’re Grateful to Share 🌹

We’re always looking to share resources that feel thoughtful, respectful, and grounded—and Petals of a Rose is one we highly recommend.

This short film offers an accurate, compassionate portrayal of Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), created with care and intention. Rather than sensationalizing trauma, it centers lived experience, nuance, and humanity—something that’s still far too rare in media.

For individuals with DID, loved ones, and professionals seeking better understanding, Petals of a Rose can be a meaningful starting point for reflection and conversation.

We’re grateful to creators who prioritize authenticity and who contribute to greater awareness and respect for the DID community.

🐝 Thank You to Our Healing Together Hive 🐝

As we return from this year’s Healing Together Conference, we are filled with gratitude for the community that made it all possible.

To our volunteers, presenters, sponsors, and attendees—thank you. Whether you joined us in person or virtually, your presence helped shape a space rooted in care, connection, and shared learning.

Together, more than 750 members of our hive gathered for powerful breakout sessions, meaningful conversations, and grounding experiences—from yoga and labyrinth making to creative crafts and quiet moments of rest. Each offering, and each person who participated, contributed to the rhythm of the weekend.

Healing Together is more than a conference. It’s a community built through collaboration, compassion, and mutual support—and it exists because of you.

From all of us at An Infinite Mind, thank you for being part of this hive and for continuing to heal together. 💛🐝
