What is otoscopy? 👂

Otoscopy is a procedure where your provider will visually check the health of your ear canal and eardrum.

Here’s what they’re looking for:
🔹 Earwax (cerumen): buildup that could block the canal
🔹 Infections: redness, swelling, or discharge
🔹 Foreign objects: anything unusual inside the ear
🔹 Eardrum integrity: signs of a tear or other issues
🔹 Middle ear fluid: checked with a gentle puff of air to see eardrum movement
