All Wayne County Government offices will be CLOSED Monday, Feb. 2 due to hazardous road conditions. Snow totals ranged from 4–10 inches across the county. Most roads remain snow-covered or impassible, especially in rural areas. Travel is highly discouraged.

There are a few scattered power outages around the County. Duke Energy crews are working now, and most outages are expected to be restored before Noon.

A heartfelt thank-you to our first responders and NCDOT partners who have been working through the storm to keep our community safe and moving.

Cold weather continues through the next several days:
✅ Limit time outdoors
✅ Dress in warm layers
✅ Let faucets drip overnight
✅ Bring pets inside
✅ Check on neighbors, especially seniors

Even though the snow has ended, this remains a dangerous situation. Stay safe and limit travel.
