4 Generations of Service
Our service began in Goldsboro in 1951 by our Founder, J.B. Rhodes Sr. It was through his leadership, selfless service, and commitment to excellence, that we continue his legacy to Goldsboro and Eastern North Carolina. Today, J.B. Rhodes Funeral Homes & Cremations has three locations, our Goldsboro Chapel now located on Wayne Memorial Drive, as well as Warsaw NC and Kinston NC. Our President is Funeral Director J.B. Rhodes III, Grandson to our Founder, and third-generation family member. Assisting are fourth-generation family members Jae B. Rhodes, J.B. Rhodes IV, and Jaela B. Rhodes.
Ever since we opened our gates we have approached life (and death) differently. While some just see the end of a loved one’s life as a time for grief and mourning, we prefer to think of it as a time for reflection, appreciation and even celebration. This is evident in everything we do, from the way we conduct our services to the amenities we choose to offer. We are not a burial ground. We are a close knit community dedicated to honoring, sharing and preserving the amazing and inspirational stories that are life. In the words of our founder, ‘’ We My Doze, But Never Close, Call Rhodes’’
