VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION!!

Gov. Jeff Landry’s administration has abruptly canceled 2026 contract extensions with two of the state’s largest Medicaid providers.

The Louisiana Department of Health plans to automatically move patients to one of the four remaining Medicaid plans over the next two weeks. If you're affected, you'll have 90 days starting Jan. 1 to choose a different plan if you're unhappy with the one assigned.

Heat affects everyone, but did you know some medications cause patients to have a higher intolerance to heat?

Be sure to increase hydration and decrease full exposure to sun if your medication is on the list.

Continued freezing temperatures and icy roadways are preventing normal operations. The schools are closed again Thursday and we are waiting to find out if our lab will be operational as well. We will offer telemed appointments Thursday if appropriate to the request and condition.
