Have been gone for the last couple of months (tending to a family medical matter). Please, please, please...if you'd like some GREAT deals on Christmas gifts this year, this little potter will have pottery and crafted paper ornaments on sale this Saturday (the 19th) from 10-2 at the Art Gumbo Market held at the beautiful Houmas House Plantation in Darrow. As an extra plus, you can lunch at the Burnside Cafe on the grounds and perhaps enjoy a tour of the Gardens and/or House. And weather permitting, there will be Markets on the first three Saturdays in December. Jewelers, wood-workers, and specialty vendors will be there under the trees. Come and visit. Shop local...no need for expensive shipping!

OK, so we got rained out today. No tears, just time to regroup. On Sunday, Nov. 8th, there will be a lovely afternoon of pottery and hospitality at 13469 Martin Mayers Rd. in Gonzales from 2 until 5 pm. Come see the studio where Glazed and Confused and the Right-Brained Potter concoct their creations. Visit the workroom, meet the cats, shop early for Christmas gifts that are one-of-a kind, and visit with the crazy ladies who've been having too much fun doing what they do.

On Nov. 21, come on out to the parking lot at Houmas House for the Art Gumbo Market, weather permitting, from 10 am til 2 pm. Jewelers, wood workers, sometimes photographers (if it's not raining!), and sometimes a children's author! All friendly people with super products. Oh, and usually a free sample of wonderful food from the plantation kitchen...yummmmm.

On Friday, Dec. 4th, come downtown to the Shaw Center in Baton Rouge...the Lighting of the Christmas Lights! There will be a trunk show in the 1st floor lobby by the LSU Museum Gift Shop. Beautiful event with wonderful vendors, fabulous fireworks, and a most festive atmosphere!

And finally, Art Gumbo Market is scheduled for Dec. 5, 12 & 19 at Houmas House. No excuses for not being ready for Christmas! See you all soon!

This weekend I'll be at the Sorrento Fall Fest in the Cajun Village...right in front of Louisiana Pottery. Come visit! I'll even have a "bargain box" of things that are so reasonable they can go right in your garden! They're not perfect, but still pretty, just not in the kitchen.
Of course, the new pieces are getting better and better, if I say so myself. Do you like butterflies? Got 'em. Drangonflies? Got 'em. And of course, the ever popular Fleur de Lis. Got that too. 10-5 Saturday and Sunday.

Golly, thanks for all the likes! If you're in the Gonzales area, the River Region Art Assn. is hosting their annual Awesome Art on the Bayou festival in Jambalaya Park on Sat/Sun, Oct. 10 & 11, 10 am til 5 pm. I've been building inventory for quite a while and have lots of crosses, garlic plates and serving pieces in all price ranges.
Two weeks after that, I'll be in Sorrento at the Cajun Village...whoohoo, I LOVE October!
