Flu season has arrived early this year. We are now seeing children test positive for Influenza regularly.
It’s not too late to get the Flu Vaccine. While no vaccine is perfect, it still offers important protection. Children who receive the flu shot—even when the strain isn’t a perfect match—typically experience milder symptoms and a shorter illness.
Please don’t wait too long. Getting vaccinated now can help protect your child through the peak of the season.

🔸Gonzales Healthcare Systems’ Construction Project Progress 🔸

The last few weeks have brought significant progress on our surgical expansion. Roof is on, exterior walls are going up, interior studs are being set, and HVAC and electrical work is underway. The space is truly transforming!

We are awaiting the official ‘ok’ to reopen our front hallway of patient rooms. Stay tuned as we are excited to share the final look with you all.

Our Story

Dr. Rivas is a pediatrician located in Gonzales, TX. His office is at Sievers Medical Clinic, a multi-specialty medical clinic, that provides medical care for Gonzales and surrounding communities. Our office is the premiere Pediatric practice in Gonzales County. Dr. Rivas completed his internship and pediatric residency at Rutgers-University Hospital/Children's Hospital of NJ program in 1992. He practiced initially in Austin, TX where he resided for 13 years before moving to Gonzales with his family in 2006. He has extensive experience in the care of complicated and healthy newborns as well hospital and ambulatory care of children and adolescents up to the age of 21 years old. Beyond taking care of the whole spectrum of pediatrics he has special interests in Dermatology, Asthma/Allergies, Infectious Diseases and critically ill newborns and infants.
