We’re proud to announce our Annual Dog Food Drive, in loving memory John Charles DuBose—a man whose kindness, generosity, and love for animals left a lasting paw print on our hearts.

We will be collecting dog food for the entire month of February, and we invite our community to come together to help local dogs in need. Donations of any kind are welcome—every bag, every can, and every act of kindness truly makes a difference.

🐾 You can drop your donations off at our office here at Legacy Insurance.

Let’s honor John Charles DuBose the best way we know how—by showing up, giving back, and caring for those who can’t ask for help themselves.

Our friends at Palmetto State Park invited us back for another adoption event, and this one is extra special — Valentine’s Day! 💕

Come fall in love with one of our adoptable pups while enjoying a scenic trail walk through this beautiful park. It’s the perfect way to spend the day: fresh air, wagging tails, and maybe meeting your new best friend 🐶🌿

🐾 How it works:
You’ll be able to walk the trails and spend time with our dogs during the event.

📌 Important note:
If you fall in love with one of our pups, you will still need to complete our adoption approval process. Dogs will not be going home the same day.

We can’t wait to see you and share the love! 💖🐾

Texas Winter Weather Warning – Prep Now to Keep Your Pets Safe & Warm ❄️🐾

Freezing temperatures are on the way, and pets need extra protection during extreme cold. Here’s how you can prepare:

• Bring pets indoors whenever possible. Cold temperatures can be dangerous, even for pets with thick fur.
• Provide warm bedding – blankets, towels, or insulated beds help keep body heat in.
• Limit time outside and supervise potty breaks. Watch for shivering, lifting paws, or reluctance to walk.
• Protect paws from ice, salt, and chemicals by wiping them after being outside.
• Ensure access to fresh, unfrozen water at all times.
• Never leave pets in cars or unheated areas like garages, porches, or sheds.
• Check outdoor shelters for proper insulation and protection from wind and moisture.
• Keep ID tags and microchip info updated in case pets get loose during storms.

Community cats and stray animals also need help—if possible, provide insulated shelters, straw bedding (not blankets), and food.

Let’s look out for our pets and each other during this cold snap. Stay warm and stay safe 🤍🐶🐱
