Agape Family healthcare is bringing awareness to diabetes! This weekend Dr. B and family participated in a 10k practicing great health and giving an example of our tip for the morning!

Aerobic exercise: Activities like walking, swimming, or cycling are great for cardiovascular health and insulin sensitivity. Start slowly, and try to reach at least 150 minutes per week, which can be broken into shorter sessions like a 10-minute walk after each meal. Please add your question and comments below on your thoughts about diabetes. You never know who could use your encouragement or information! Happy Monday!

Type 1 and type 2 diabetes differ in their cause and onset: type 1 is an autoimmune disease where the body destroys insulin-producing cells, leading to a sudden onset and a lifelong need for insulin. Type 2 is a metabolic disorder where the body either becomes resistant to insulin or doesn't produce enough of it, developing over a longer period and often linked to lifestyle factors. While both result in high blood sugar, type 1 is an absolute insulin deficiency, while type 2 starts with insulin resistance and a progressive loss of insulin. Comment your questions below! lets educate and spread awareness!
