Painting with Hope was started by a twin sister duo, Hope and Faith Atkins. Hope was a healthcare worker and a freelance artist who dreamed of encouraging others to put their God-given talents to work. Faith was a customer service worker who loved creating media and networking with others. Hope visits our community twice a month and mentors our resident artists - a majority of whom are new to painting. The end results are truly amazing! The sense of pride our residents feel is priceless.

Happy Mardi Gras from all of us at Gorham House! Is there a better way to celebrate "Fat Tuesday" than with a big ol' parade? 🎉 Gorham House Preschool marched to the sounds of New Orleans Jazz as we made our way through each neighborhood. The festivities continued with Sharon Wright live in the Great Room!

It was such a magical Valentine's Day tea party, complete with Petit Fours! We had over 50 residents and their families join us. We even had one lovely couple celebrating their 46th anniversary! Wild & Mild entertained us, and we enjoyed some amazing massages by Jessica Raspberry, LMT at Home Body Massage. 💌💘

Today, for our intergenerational toy exchange, we introduced our preschool friends to the game of Simon. Introduced by Milton Bradley, Simon is an iconic electronic memory game invented by Ralph Baer (the "father of video games") and Howard Morrison. The flashing colored lights and sound effects were a huge hit!

Tuesday we welcomed Kind Kids Music to the Great Room at Gorham House!
Kind Kids Music provides an engaging monthly music class with Rob and Amanda Panda. Children use movement, instruments, imaginations, asl, and puppets to build a strong foundation for music education, early literacy skills, self-regulation, emotional resilience, and compassion.
