We had a wonderful evening at Ryan’s Place during our Sips & Blooms experience…one of the special moments made possible through lasts year gala auction. 🌸🥂

Friends enjoyed an evening of creativity, crafting beautiful floral arrangements while sharing, delicious bites, and meaningful conversation in our new home for healing hearts. It was a night filled with laughter, connection, and community.

A heartfelt thank you to Kelly Avila and Common Spirits for generously donating this unique experience to our gala auction. We are also grateful to Jennifer Irions for generously securing this experience and bringing friends together for such a special evening đź’™

Grief can be hard to navigate, but sometimes the simplest things can bring comfort. A bowl of ice cream, a quiet moment, or sitting with someone who understands can make the day feel just a little lighter.

At Ryan’s Place, we know healing doesn’t always happen in big moments. Sometimes it’s found in the small things…in connection, in laughter, and in simply being together.

A special thank you to Lippert University for providing ice cream from The Chief Ice Cream and helping create a sweet moment of comfort for our kids and families. 🍦

In honor of International Women’s Day, we’d like to take a moment to recognize someone who has helped shape Ryan’s Place in extraordinary ways, our President and CEO, Aileac Deegan.

Aileac has been part of Ryan’s Place since 2005 and has faithfully led the organization for the past 21 years. From 2009 to 2011, she pursued her Master’s in Social Work while continuing to lead with unwavering dedication. Her commitment, strength, and compassion have guided Ryan’s Place through years of growth and impact, always keeping our mission at the heart of the work. Through her vision, Ryan’s Place opened the doors to our new home for healing hearts this past fall 💙

We are deeply grateful for Aileac’s dedication and for the many lives she has touched along the way.

Thank you Aileac~

So grateful for the continued support of Tri Kappa of Goshen and their commitment to our community. Their generosity and partnership help make the work we do at Ryan’s Place possible.

Thank you for standing with us and supporting children, teens, and families who are navigating grief. đź’™

Grateful ~

In January, we had the privilege of serving at Ryan's Place, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing grief support to children, teens, and families who have experienced the death of a loved one. Ryan’s Place offers peer support groups, resources, and a safe space where families can share their stories, process their grief, and find hope in community. Their work is truly life-changing for so many in our area.

We were honored to visit and support such an incredible organization. Thank you to Ryan’s Place for welcoming Tri Kappa of Goshen with open arms. We are incredibly thankful for the opportunity to partner with you, and we are grateful that our donation can help continue the meaningful work you do in supporting children and families.

We are so thankful for this partnership and look forward to continuing to serve our community together. 🤍

Yesterday, our Program Director, Lindsy, had the opportunity to represent Ryan’s Place at the Community Engagement Fair at Goshen College. 💙

Events like this give us a chance to connect with students, faculty, and community members who are passionate about making a difference right here in Elkhart County. Lindsy spent the day sharing the mission of Ryan’s Place, introducing others to the importance of grief support for children, teens, and families, and creating meaningful conversations around how our community can support one another through grief.

Thank you to Goshen College for bringing together organizations and community members dedicated to building a stronger, more compassionate community. đź’™

Our volunteers are truly the heart of Ryan’s Place, offering their time, compassion, and steady presence to children and families who need it most.

By becoming a Grief Facilitator, you help create a safe and caring space where children, teens, and families can share their stories and navigate their grief. Our facilitators show up with empathy, consistency, and an open heart… and that makes all the difference.

đź’™ If you feel called to walk alongside healing hearts, we would love for you to join us at our upcoming training on March 20th & 21st.

Come be part of something meaningful. đź’™

Many of you have asked how you can help us, and we are so grateful. đź’™

At Ryan’s Place the simple comforts and supplies that we use each day help us meet children, teens & families exactly where they are …whether that’s in a school group, snuggled in a bean bag chair or having a snack together

Right now, we are especially in need of:

🛒 Rolling carts – so our team can easily transport supplies into the 31 schools we serve throughout Elkhart County.
🪑 Bean bag chairs – creating cozy, safe spaces for our littlest grievers to feel comfortable opening their hearts.
🍎 Snacks – because conversations about grief are hard, and a simple snack can bring comfort and connection during group time.

If you’ve been looking for a meaningful way to support our mission, we invite you to shop our Amazon Wish List. Every item goes directly to supporting grieving children and families in our community.

Every item—big or small—helps us fill the space with care. 🛒✨

Thank you for helping us create spaces where healing can happen..in schools, in our space, and wherever children need us most

This year at Ryan’s Place, our School Support Group Programs are reaching far beyond our walls. 💙

📚 31 schools
👧👦 158 students served
⚖️ 30 students at JDC (Juvenile Detention Center)
🌎 Supporting families across Elkhart County, Kosciusko County, and Saint Joseph County

Grief doesn’t stay at home, it walks into classrooms every single day. Because of our dedicated team, students are finding a safe space to share their stories, build coping skills, and feel less alone.

Chris Seminario, our Director of School Programs and Spanish Services, leads this important work with heart and intention, strengthening our partnerships with schools and ensuring students and families receive compassionate, responsive support. Her presence in both our school programs and the broader community helps expand access to grief services for Spanish-speaking families and beyond.

This outreach is truly a team effort. Under Chris’ guidance, our incredible interns are stepping into schools across three counties to facilitate groups, build trusting relationships, and walk alongside students in their grief journeys. Their dedication, empathy, and commitment are helping create safe spaces where healing can begin 💙
