Polycystic O***y Syndrome (PCOS) is a complex hormonal disorder affecting reproductive-aged women, characterized by irregular or missed periods, high androgen levels (leading to acne and excess hair), and/or polycystic ovaries. It can cause fertility issues and metabolic problems like insulin resistance, increasing the risk for type 2 diabetes and heart disease.
