An extra special Christmas celebration at Greencroft Goshen’s Adult Day Services – Thelma A. Schrock Homestead! 🎄❤️

This season, participants enjoyed cherished traditions like decorating with our collection of Christmas houses gathered over the past 25 years, baking cookies, and building gingerbread houses together. We also celebrated our first Christmas party in our new space, complete with live music, delicious food, and festive giveaways—including our very popular hot chocolate snowmen! ☕⛄

We are so grateful for the incredible community support and all the friends of the Thelma A. Schrock Homestead who helped make this season joyful and memorable.

We’re honored to continue our Monthly Volunteer Spotlight by recognizing two remarkable individuals who have poured years of dedication, kindness, and service into Greencroft Goshen — Willard and Alice Roth.

Alice has been an active volunteer since 2014, and Willard since 2013. Together, they have touched countless lives across campus through a wide range of meaningful roles. From serving as Hall Friends who warmly welcome new residents, to assisting in the Manor 4 Gift Shop, serving on the Resident Council, speaking at Sunday morning services, and hosting in the Evergreen dining room — their impact is felt everywhere.

Willard and Alice shared how grateful they are for the opportunity to volunteer in ways that fit perfectly with this season of life. The flexibility of their roles has allowed them to serve joyfully and meaningfully, all while enhancing the sense of community that makes Greencroft so special.

We are deeply thankful for their continued dedication and for the many ways they enrich life here at Greencroft Goshen. 💙🌿

It was a morning to remember at Evergreen Place at Greencroft Goshen! 🎄☕

Our Evergreen Place team came together for a carry-in breakfast that had a little bit of everything—breakfast sandwiches, homemade enchiladas, bacon, potatoes, fresh fruit, gooey rolls, and more. Let’s just say… if you left hungry, it was your own fault! 😄

As we enjoyed our meal, we relaxed by the “fire” watching Christmas carols on the big screen, soaking in all the cozy holiday vibes. Festive apparel was highly encouraged, and our team delivered with Christmas Crocs, cheerful sweaters, fun costumes, and lots of holiday spirit.

Moments like these remind us how special our Evergreen Place community truly is. ❤️🎅✨

MORE holiday fun from last week at Evergreen Place! 🎄✨

Good things really do come in threes — and in blue! Care Attendant Katie, Housekeeper Kerwin, and Care Attendant Jullie showed off their matching spirit as “triplets,” with Katie adding some extra cheer in her Christmas socks. 💙🧦

We also had more Evergreen Place elf shenanigans keeping everyone laughing, plus our Merry & Bright Tuesday, which was well represented with Kerwin rocking his Christmas Vacation outfit and Katie decked out in festive bows! 🎀🎅

Last week was full of holiday fun at Evergreen Place! 🎄✨

Our very own Evergreen Place Elf on the Shelf, Eddie, has returned and has been spotted keeping a close eye on staff. Rumor has it he may even be responsible for building “Percy” the snowman! ⛄😉

Residents have been busy decorating for Christmas, with trees beautifully trimmed and the Gathering Place and Coffee Shop glowing with festive cheer. And the fun didn’t stop there — staff joined in wearing llama Christmas sweaters and even welcoming a visit from the Grinch, complete with light-up shoes! 💚✨

There’s never a dull moment at Evergreen Place, especially during the holidays!
