A huge shoutout to the Gothenburg Volunteer Fire Department and Miller Towing for their incredible demonstrations on how a vehicle accident is handled. GVFD walked us through how the Jaws of Life and the spreader are used to safely extract a trapped person. Miller Towing provided the vehicle and showed us how they hook it up and load it onto the tow truck.
We’re grateful for dedicated people like these who make activities like this possible!

Another Gothenburg Passport tour is in the books! Our final stop of the week was at T. Walkers, where we heard from Gothenburg's very own pie king, Steve Walker. He shared his journey in the restaurant world—starting as a 10-year-old dishwasher, then working for his mom after she bought the business, and eventually owning his own eateries and baking for his son's restaurant. We were sure excited when he climbed aboard with enough apple pie for all of us!
