Reiki is the Japanese word meaning “universal life force energy”. This is an energy that can nurture and heal body, mind, heart and spirit. The practice of Reiki allows anyone to be able to tap into an infinite supply of life force energy to improve one’s health. Energy can stagnate in the body where there has been a physical injury or emotional pain. In time, these energy blocks can cause one to have physical and mental illness. Energy medicine aims to help the flow of energy and remove blocks in a similar way to acupuncture or acupressure

Reiki is facilitated by a trained Reiki practitioner placing their hands on or over your body channeling light and love energy to you. The client is fully clothed and comfortable. Each energy experience is different and tailored to the recipient. The practitioner works together with the recipients energy to channel exactly what is needed in the session. Many report feeling sensations of tingling, warmth, calmness and surrounded by a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you during a session. It is a simple, natural and safe method of healing and self-improvement that everyone can benefit from. Reiki’s profound benefits are becoming so well known that more than 800 US hospitals have incorporated Reiki as a regular part of patients services. I began my Reiki journey in 2018 after experiencing some major health challenges . The word Reiki was mentioned to me by a medical professional I was seeing at the time and it immediately caught my interest. I always believed you never give up trying things that can help you feel better. It sounded extremely strange to me after doing a search online, however I was pretty open to anything at that point. After a few sessions, I began noticing some real changes in how I was feeling that could not have possibly been coincidence. Needless to say, I was sold. I am grateful to have studied with wonderful mentors in the past couple years in Usui, Karuna and Holy Fire ® III Reiki. I was given an amazing opportunity to practice working with this incredible energy by volunteering locally at the Gouverneur Hospital and the Gouverneur Community Center since 2019. Personally witnessing the amazing effects I experienced on my Reiki journey as well as the amazing feedback from those receiving this therapy, I became a certified Holy Fire® III Reiki Master Teacher in 2020 and an affiliate member with the International Center for Reiki Training. I opened The Sacred Tree Reiki in Gouverneur in 2020 and have been providing private session in my home treatment room by appointment. I hope to continue to help spread this beautiful energy technique to Gouverneur and the surrounding areas. I also offer classes to train those interested in this amazing healing practice. My hope is to help others heal mentally, physically and spiritually to become happier, healthier and whole and to benefit from this therapy as I, and many others have.
