th. Energy can stagnate in the body where there has been a physical injury or emotional pain. In time, these energy blocks can cause one to have physical and mental illness. Energy medicine aims to help the flow of energy and remove blocks in a similar way to acupuncture or acupressure

Reiki is facilitated by a trained Reiki practitioner placing their hands on or over your body channeling light and love energy to you. The client is fully clothed and comfortable. Each energy experience is different and tailored to the recipient. The practitioner works together with the recipients energy to channel exactly what is needed in the session. Many report feeling sensations of tingling, warmth, calmness and surrounded by a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you during a session. It is a simple, natural and safe method of healing and self-improvement that everyone can benefit from. Reiki’s profound benefits are becoming so well known that more than 800 US hospitals have incorporated Reiki as a regular part of patients services. I began my Reiki journey in 2018 after experiencing some major health challenges . The word Reiki was mentioned to me by a medical professional I was seeing at the time and it immediately caught my interest. I always believed you never give up trying things that can help you feel better. It sounded extremely strange to me after doing a search online, however I was pretty open to anything at that point. After a few sessions, I began noticing some real changes in how I was feeling that could not have possibly been coincidence. Needless to say, I was sold. I am grateful to have studied with wonderful mentors in the past couple years in Usui, Karuna and Holy Fire ® III Reiki. I was given an amazing opportunity to practice working with this incredible energy by volunteering locally at the Gouverneur Hospital and the Gouverneur Community Center since 2019. Personally witnessing the amazing effects I experienced on my Reiki journey as well as the amazing feedback from those receiving this therapy, I became a certified Holy Fire® III Reiki Master Teacher in 2020 and an affiliate member with the International Center for Reiki Training. I opened The Sacred Tree Reiki in Gouverneur in 2020 and have been providing private session in my home treatment room by appointment. I hope to continue to help spread this beautiful energy technique to Gouverneur and the surrounding areas. I also offer classes to train those interested in this amazing healing practice. My hope is to help others heal mentally, physically and spiritually to become happier, healthier and whole and to benefit from this therapy as I, and many others have.

Living with Fibromyalgia, a complex and often invisible pain disorder, can be unpredictable and affect every aspect of life.
After being diagnosed 20 years ago - although I suspect it had been present for much longer - I've learned to navigate its ever-changing symptoms.

On the surface, everything may seem fine, but internally, it can feel like my body is constantly rebelling. Simple tasks become daunting challenges due to debilitating fatigue, memory loss, brain fog, anxiety, and widespread pain, all of which can be triggered by stress, illness, or even extreme temperatures.

This is where Reiki comes in, offering a gentle, yet powerful approach to supporting my nervous system and reducing pain. I've seen firsthand how it can benefit those who struggle with traditional medication or seek a complementary therapy.

After missing a recent session due to stressful events, I'm now in a flare and eagerly looking forward to my next treatment to get back on track.

Today's session was truly remarkable.

A second private session with a client navigating a significant life transition yielded profound relief following her initial consultation.

Over the past week, she experienced increased mental fogginess, heaviness and trouble sleeping. Nevertheless, she was able to attain a deeper state of relaxation during this session.

She reported sensations of energy shifting within specific areas of her body.
Following the treatment, we explored the Ho’oponopono, a Hawaiian prayer or mantra designed to facilitate forgiveness towards oneself and others, as a valuable tool for navigating deep pain or hurt.

On this beautiful Wednesday, I successfully connected with a new client referral who sought relaxation and was introduced to Reiki.

She held tension and emotional cellular memories in various areas, which were addressed during the session. Notably, she fell asleep periodically , testifying to the treatment's efficacy.

The client was impressed by the relaxing experience, reporting sensations of warmth in specific areas of her body.
Interestingly, she was one of a few clients who experienced Reiki through phantom smells, a phenomenon where clients perceive distinct odors not present in the environment. This experience can be perplexing, especially when the scents are strong or fleeting.

Various forms of energy movement can trigger such sensations, including the release of significant emotional blockages, which may manifest as specific smells.
Previous clients have reported smelling smoke, dirt, perfume, or flowers, often attributing these odors to external sources. These can be Phantosmia (Olfactory Hallucinations
Other sensory experiences, such as unexplained sounds,feelings, & unusual sensations can also occur.

Todays client, who practices meditation, has reported similar experiences with smelling cigarette smoke on separate occasions when no one else can and she intends to explore this phenomenon further.
