IT ALL COMES DOWN TO SELF-WORTH.
where was it defined for you?
whether it be society, your parents, your school, your peer group, your family norms... something convinced you that your worth was attached to what you could produce, attain, or be.
this is not all bad. it has motivated us at times. it has given us purpose.
but it’s also been heavily laced with shame.
here’s waking up:
it’s ok to relax.
it’s ok to say no.
it’s ok to let someone else do it.
it’s ok to put it off until tomorrow.
it’s ok to rest.
it’s imperative to rest.
yet, rest doesn’t come authentically until we can stop equating productivity with self-worth.
let’s say it again.
REST IS NOT WEAKNESS. YOU ARE NOT MORE WORTHY IF YOU ARE BUSY.
they say the truth will set you free. yes yes. this is a big one.
we are all looking to get free. mostly from our own inner voices that shame us - guided by old ideas that are no longer serving us.
