🕒 18-23 hours per week

In this role, you’ll:
✔️ Prepare and submit claims for services supporting adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD)
✔️ Manage denials and appeals
✔️ Monitor accounts receivable
✔️ Stay up to date on Medicaid billing guidelines
✔️ Collaborate with our dedicated program teams

🍕❤️ Love Is in the Air… and So Is the Smell of Pizza! ❤️🍕

We had an amazing time celebrating National Pizza Day — because nothing brings people together like a slice (or three!) of cheesy goodness! 😄🍕

But the fun didn’t stop there…

In preparation for Valentine’s Day, our incredibly creative art teacher knocked it out of the park! 🎨💘 Our participants worked together to design and create a GIANT Valentine’s Day display, and it is absolutely bursting with color, creativity, and love.

From painting and crafting to lots of laughs along the way, it was such a joy to see everyone’s talents shine. 💖 We are so proud of the teamwork and heart that went into this beautiful display!

Our participants had an amazing time exploring the Milwaukee Public Museum and soaking up all the sights, stories, and hands-on fun! A great day out in the community was just what the doctor ordered 🩺😊

Our participants brought the winter magic indoors with an epic indoor snowball fight, followed by making a cozy pot of vegetable soup. 🥕🥔🍲

Because really… there’s nothing better than hot soup on a cold, snowy day!

Today is a bittersweet day at Portal as we celebrate Jill’s retirement.

After 11 years, 3 months, and 16 days of dedication, commitment, and heart, Jill is officially beginning a well-earned new chapter. Her time at Portal has been marked by incredible skill, deep knowledge, and a spirit that touched everyone around her. Jill’s presence, wisdom, and care have made a lasting impact, and her contributions will be truly missed.

While we will miss her greatly, we are so excited for Jill as she steps into a future filled with travel, new adventures, and time to enjoy all the things she loves. She has more than earned this moment.

Just look at that smile — that’s the smile of someone who is RETIRED!!!!!!!!!!!!😄✨

Today was one of those days. With the cold outside, many chose to stay in, enjoying a warm, cozy day together. Inside, you could find smiles being shared, kind words exchanged, and moments of connection that make Portal feel like home.

I was lucky enough to catch a few of those moments — genuine smiles, friendly greetings, and heartfelt well wishes that remind us why this place means so much.

It’s in these everyday moments that the true spirit of Portal shines. A smile, a laugh, a sense of belonging — these are the things that matter most. Days like today may seem quiet, but they are full of warmth, care, and community.

🎨✨ Creativity is blooming in our Art Class at Portal!✨🎨

Take a look at these beautiful works of art created by our talented participants! From dreamy winter skies to bold colors and expressive brushstrokes, each piece reflects imagination, creativity, and individuality. Art class is more than painting — it’s about self-expression, confidence, and joy, and these smiles say it all. 💙

We’re also excited to share that we have a new Art Teacher, Serena, who brings a wealth of artistic experience and passion to our program. Serena has already been inspiring our participants to explore new techniques, experiment with color, and take pride in their creations. Her enthusiasm and creativity are making art class a favorite for many!

Art continues to be a meaningful way for our participants to express themselves, relax, and connect with one another. We are so proud of the creativity and effort that goes into every piece.

🎨 Keep an eye out — we’ll be sharing even more amazing art projects in the future as our artists continue to learn, grow, and create!
