We are excited to introduce Jayme Zimmerman as the newest member of the Western Roots team! Jayme is an RN as well as a personal trainer and is currently working toward becoming a Certified Nutrition Coach.

Jayme will be in the office five days a week performing basic clinical nursing duties and blood draws, as well as growing IV therapy services.

We’re looking for someone local who’s interested in learning how to perform small particle cleaning. This process includes vacuuming walls, floors, and ceilings, followed by a wet microfiber wipe-down and then a dry microfiber finish in every room of a home.

While the work isn’t difficult, it does require attention to detail and can be time-consuming. The quality of the clean depends heavily on the care and precision of the person doing it. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to earn substantial extra income while doing thorough, detail-oriented work.

We are growing and looking for a Clinic Nurse with a heart for nutrition, lifestyle medicine, and patient coaching — someone who believes health is more than prescriptions and who wants to walk alongside patients as they make real, lasting change.

This isn’t a typical clinic nursing role.

Enjoys teaching and encouraging patients
Believes root-cause care matters
Wants to build meaningful patient relationships
Thrives in a small, mission-driven team

You’ll work closely with our provider to:
Educate patients on nutrition and lifestyle strategies
Help implement personalized care plans
Support supplement and lab protocols
Conduct follow-ups focused on accountability and progress
Be a steady, encouraging presence for patients navigating change

We value nurses who:
Are licensed RN or LPN in Kansas
Communicate with warmth and clarity
Are self-motivated and organized
Are interested in (or already trained in) health coaching or functional medicine

I never thought I would see the day we shifted food recommendations. Hopefully this opens up the idea of quality proteins, fruits, and veggies in schools and less processed crap. I tell people in the office we need to take the normal food pyramid and literally flip it upside down. And look what they did. A step in the right direction!
