After 28 years of dedicated service, George Gerdes is officially retiring from Pecan Plantation EMS.
George’s commitment, hard work, and loyalty have left a lasting impact on our organization and our community. For nearly three decades, he has been a steady presence, always willing to step up, share his knowledge, and serve with professionalism and pride.
We are incredibly grateful for the years of service George has given and the legacy he leaves behind. While he will be greatly missed, we wish him nothing but happiness, relaxation, and new adventures in this next chapter of life.

Please join us in congratulating George Gerdes on an outstanding 28-year career and wishing him a well-deserved retirement!

From all of us at your Pecan Plantation VFD&EMS we want to wish our community a very Merry Christmas and a joyful holiday season. As you gather with family and friends, please know that while many are celebrating at home, your firefighters and EMS crews remain on duty ready to respond, protect, and serve whenever we’re needed. Thank you for your continued support, trust, and kindness throughout the year. We are honored to serve such an incredible community and are grateful to call it home. We’re excited to share that PRCAC will be at Cookies and Cocoa with Santa, hosted by Pecan Plantation VFD & EMS! 🎅❄️

Join us on December 13, 2025 from 2–5 PM at:
📍 9518 Monticello Dr, Granbury, TX 76049

There will be cookies, cocoa, photo opportunities, and a letter-writing station for kids. ✨

Please bring a new, unwrapped toy to help stuff Santa’s sleigh, all toys collected will be donated to Paluxy River Children’s Advocacy Center to help provide Christmas for children. 💙🎁

PRCAC will be onsite, and we’d love for you to stop by and join us as we help spread hope and holiday cheer for the kids we serve. 💙✨
