Yesterday, members of our MPH team advocated for rural hospitals at the 2026 Day at the Capitol event, which brings together healthcare leaders to meet with legislators, advocate for key policies, and discuss issues affecting hospitals and patient care.

We would like to recognize Anne A. for an excellent patient safety catch!

During medication preparation, she identified that an antibiotic had expired before administration. Anne immediately stopped the process, prevented the medication from being given, and ensured the patient received a safe and appropriate alternative.

This attention to detail and willingness to speak up exemplify a strong culture of safety and reflects our commitment to high-reliability care.

Middle Park Health is proud to announce that the Fraser Campus Emergency Department has achieved its Level IV Trauma Designation.

This designation formally recognizes and confirms that the Fraser Campus, which opened in June of last year, has the people, training, equipment, and processes in place to rapidly evaluate and stabilize injured patients. For our community, that means less time on the road, fewer delays in diagnosis, and quicker access to life-saving care, especially in severe weather or when Berthoud Pass is closed.

The designation process is a rigorous process that reflects years of work by our emergency department physicians, nurses, EMS partners, MPH administration, and all the support staff. The designation culminates with a formal, on-site survey by the state that reviews everything from equipment and staffing to quality improvement and patient outcomes that occurred in mid-January.

The Fraser Campus plays a critical role in caring for injured patients in a rural, high-altitude, high-recreation area, and serves as an essential access point to a broader trauma system when higher-level care is needed.

We are extremely proud of the team effort that made this possible, and we're excited for the community to know that high-quality trauma care is available right here in Fraser.

The Fraser Campus joins Middle Park Health's Kremmling Campus, which was Colorado's first Level IV Trauma Center, and the Granby Campus which both hold the Level IV designation.

Appointments scheduled at Middle Park Health Granby or Kremmling Campuses remain in Granby or Kremmling. respectively.

Middle Park Health is excited to be in partnership with Steamboat Orthopaedic & Spine Institute and Dr. Adam Wilson, who serves not only our local community but professional athletes like those heading to Italy as representatives of the U.S. Snowboardcross Team!

Nearly a decade ago, Dr. Adam Wilson joined the U.S. Snowboardcross Team during a training camp in Austria, and he’s been part of the team ever since. This year, that journey brings him to Milan, Italy for two weeks at the 2026 Olympic Games!

As the team’s sports medicine physician, Dr. Wilson is on site to quickly identify and attend to any injuries, providing immediate care and medical guidance so athletes can stay focused on competing at the highest level. From traveling internationally with the team to being just a phone call away, his dedication goes far beyond race day.

We’re proud to cheer him on as he supports Team USA and represents SOSI on the world stage. 🇺🇸🏂

Since taking over the activities program at Cliffview, Mandy has truly flourished, both personally and professionally. She brings a warm, caring presence to everything she does, with a genuine twinkle in her eye and a heart fully invested in our residents. Mandy is endlessly motivated to make each day happy, cheerful, colorful, and most importantly, engaging.

Our residents are blessed daily by her commitment to helping them “rise and shine” for every occasion, big or small. Through her creativity, compassion, and dedication, she fills our community with love and joy, turning Cliffview into a vibrant and welcoming home.
