Restorative Yoga Thursdays at 1:30 pm at Genesys Health Club!
If you need to slow down, dial in & be supported (wait isn’t that everyone?!) you need this in your life!
We’re all moving at a pace that does not biologically align w/ our bodies or our nervous system. Why not take an hour for yourself?
We end with a lovely savasana & a soothing temple & jaw massage w/ sweet orange oil.

🙏 Pls arrive at least 15 minutes early to ensure a spot AND for your safety.
✔️ Avoid loose jewelry or anything that might get caught in the silk & injure you or damage the silk.
✔️ bare feet or socks w grippers
✔️ avoid eating for 1-2 hrs before class

Here’s a peek of some of our strength & accessories exercises for The Embodied Strength for Yogis program. If you’re looking to compliment your yoga practice, increase strength & bone density this is it!
This 12 week program is 1-2 hrs a wk based on what works in your lifestyle. It isn’t the same boring workout week after week. If a kiddo is sick or the holidays hit we simply take time to be present in our lives, reset, & begin again. This type of consistency is sustainable, supportive & measurable.
Here was the program that day:
Warm up: Sliders, bands & shoot thrus.
Strength: Paused Back Squats, Barbell Bench Press, Cossack Squat w/ Knee drive, Lat Pull Down, Somersault Squat, Tricep Dips, Chinese Plank, Banded Deadbug Press
Accessories: Foam Roller Banded Reverse Fly, Jump Down, Crow play

On a serious note: Stability+Front rack carry+Cindy=LOADS OF FUN!! Cindy’s height meant we could play w the length of the bands & alter the stimulus. What fun to explore… even w/ weights. Being curious & creative isn’t just for artwork. It’s about awakening to the present moment, connecting to what you feel, & taking what you learn w/ you… a momentum, an evolution of self. Not rushing the moment, not racing to the end goal. Being here now, w yourself. Absorbing the sensation. Soaking up the experience. It’s one of the strongest things you can gift yourself!

We love sumo deadlifts over here! Look at how strong Heather has become over the past year or two!! She’s really starting to look like a power lifter sporting her beanie & 💪!
Here’s the thing though… Heather isn’t doing this to look a certain way. She’s doing this to gain strength, bone density & to compliment her active lifestyle-yoga, mom life & walking all the dogs!
Heather doesn’t just talk the talk she puts in work & walks the walk too!!
Considering Heather’s active schedule she only has time for 1 training session a week. It goes to show if you show up, focus on your intention, work hard (even only 1 day a week) you will REAP the benefits of your efforts.

I’ve been wanting to offer this workshop for some time now! I’m excited to share it with you!

This workshop offers a supportive space for yogis with hypermobility. Guided by Emily’s lived experience with hEDS (Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome) and her training as a Hypermobility Coach, you’ll explore ways to practice yoga that nourish stability, connection, and embodiment. Through mindful movement, feedback from props, and intentional pacing, you’ll learn how to slow down, enhance proprioceptive feedback, and deepen interoceptive awareness—the ability to sense and respond to what’s happening within. Expect a blend of education, guided exploration, and grounding techniques to help you feel more connected, supported, stable, and strong in your practice.

This small-group workshop, limited to 6 participants, allows for individual attention, personalized guidance, and a comfortable space to explore at your own pace. Ideal for those who are hypermobile, suspect hypermobility, or have one or more hypermobile joints—and are curious about building sustainable movement patterns rooted in awareness and self-trust.
