Coulee Medical Center

Coulee Medical Center We treat their wounds. We deliver their babies. We heal their pain. We nurture their well-being. It is a big responsibility, and one that we are proud to have.

The Coulee Medical Center legacy stretches back more than 70 years to the construction of Grand Coulee Dam and a community need for quality healthcare for the people who built and now operate one of the world’s largest hydroelectric projects. Coulee Medical Center is a 25-bed Trauma Level IV Critical Access Hospital with a very important job: to serve the healthcare needs of our rural community with the best in patient care, medical expertise, and personalized service. Based out of our new state-of-the-art, 66,000-square-foot facility near the famous Grand Coulee Dam, we provide professional medical services to the residents and visitors of the greater Grand Coulee area, the five surrounding counties, and the nearby Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation. Because to us, they are more than patients. They are neighbors, friends, family and community. And their health comes first.

Grief can show up in ways we don’t always expect — and it can help to better understand what we’re experiencing.

Coulee Medical Center is offering Understanding Grief: A Community Education Series, a structured, educational class for adults who want to learn more about grief, common responses to loss, and ways to navigate change over time.

This is not a therapy group, and there is no expectation to share. Each series is a two-session course and registration is required.

Upcoming March, and April sessions are now open.
Registration details and dates are available in the links below.

Help us support local babies and families.
Coulee Medical Center is hosting a Diapers & Wipes Drive to benefit families attending the Grant County Community Baby Shower.

We’re collecting diapers (all sizes) and baby wipes to be donated directly to local families, because no family should have to choose between diapers and groceries.

Collection Dates: February 10–20
Drop-off Location: Front desk at CMC (Attn: OB Department)

Every pack makes a difference. Together, we can wrap our community’s babies in care.

Grant County Healthcare – Economics of Keeping Care Local

We thought we’d take some time to toot horns of some of largest industries in Grant County. First up is our fourth largest employment sector in Grant County – Healthcare and Social Services!

This sector has seen dramatic growth and expansions in the past several years with a new Samaritan Healthcare Hospital Facility (shown below), Coulee Medical Center Clinic, new Quincy Valley Medical Center, Columbia Basin Hospital/Columbia Basin Family Medicine's new Emergency Department, and Confluence Health Radiation Treatment Center. Our population, on a steady increase since 2015 from 93K to over 105K now, warrants a robust healthcare system that is not only good for keeping care local but keeping jobs local.

Grant County Numbers:
• In 2024, we had 214 healthcare and social service entities
• They employed 2400 of our neighbors across our region
• For every one of those employed in healthcare and social services, another 1.5 more jobs in retail, sales, hospitality, were generated to support healthcare workers and their spending, directly or indirectly
• Every dollar spent by a healthcare employer generates another $2 of additional business!

BONUS: With accessible healthcare degrees and certifications available through Big Bend Community College, Columbia Basin Job Corps, CBTECH, we’re creating a robust talent pipeline that ensures a thriving healthcare industry to more neighbors who want work, live, and play here.

Coulee Medical Center proudly welcomed our first baby of the year on January 5, 2026. Proud parents Gabby and Alex Garcia celebrated the special arrival with the support of Coulee Medical Center’s obstetrics team.

Remi’s name holds special meaning for her family. Her first name, Remi, means “remedy” or “God comforts me,” while her middle name, Faith, represents trust and belief. Faith was also the name of the family’s beloved black lab, remembered for her gentle and loving nature.

“Welcoming the first baby of the year is always so special for us because we get to meet the newest member of our community and welcome them into the world,” said Rachael Seekins, RN, BSN, OB Nurse Manager at Coulee Medical Center. “Caring for the families in our community and helping them welcome their little ones safely is the most rewarding part of our work, and we are honored to serve the families of the Grand Coulee area.”

Gabby expressed gratitude for the care she received throughout her delivery. “I’m grateful for the amazing OB team I had at CMC,” she shared. “Dr. Randolph explained everything before anything was done, went over my options, and supported my decisions. He was calm and acted quickly when he noticed my daughter’s shoulder was stuck.” She also thanked OB nurses Rachel, Candace, and Jennifer for their compassion and dedication, adding, “Thank you for your caring hearts and for always trying to give the best birthing experience.”

Coulee Medical Center’s OB department is proud to provide personalized, compassionate maternity care close to home, supporting families through every step of their birthing journey.
