We raised 150.00 at our January soup challenge for Journey Home animal rescue. Joe Bailey presented Vivian McKewin and Koa a rescue dog from Journey Home with the check. We received a thank you from Vivian along with Koa’s story.

“Dogs like Koa are exactly why your donation makes an impact. He was a stray in rural ND, and was in very rough shape when he arrived into rescue. He was emaciated, had sustained a broken leg, and had a face full of porcupine quills that had been there for months! Because of all of this, he had to have a lot of extra vet attention- multiple sessions of quill removals, sometimes requiring sedation, bloodwork, medications...Today he is thriving, an incredibly happy boy with a foster family and friends who love him very much. He will never suffer again. His happy ending would not be possible without the thoughtful donations from people like you. Koa and all of our four legged friends thank you!”

During Administrator’s Week, we are proud to honor Gina Roller. Gina first stepped into the role of Administrator at Valley Transitions from 2018 to 2020. In 2021, Gina became the Administrator of Woodside Village at Valley on 42nd, where she continues to lead and support care partners to provide quality care for the residents we serve.

Today, we celebrate Gina for her ongoing contributions to the success of Woodside Village.
