Ringing in your ears can feel exhausting, but if you already wear hearing aids, relief might be closer than you think. Wearing your devices regularly can help reduce listening stress and anxiety, and turning up amplified background sound may help cover up the tinnitus so your brain can focus on ambient noise instead.

If you have hearing loss and tinnitus, talk with your hearing specialist about the settings on your devices and how to use them for tinnitus support!

As we age, hearing changes are common. This age-related hearing loss, known as presbycusis, affects more than half of adults over 70 and can make speech harder to understand, especially in conversations or noisy settings.

While medical or surgical treatment usually isn’t effective, modern digital hearing aids are specifically designed to address these challenges and improve communication.

If hearing loss is impacting your daily life, contact Fire Audiology and Hearing Center to explore assessment and treatment options.

If your hearing aids don’t always feel ‘right’ in different places, newer AI-powered devices may help. Some AI hearing aids use machine-learning algorithms to analyze your sound environment and automatically adjust for a better listening experience.

If you’re a returning patient, bring a list of your “trouble spots” (restaurants, work meetings, family gatherings) to your next visit so your audiologist can match features to your lifestyle!

Many people believe hearing aids can’t help with sensorineural hearing loss or “nerve deafness,” but that’s simply not true.

Modern digital hearing aids are designed to automatically adjust sound levels, which can help you hear quiet sounds clearly while keeping louder sounds comfortable. They can even fine-tune amplification based on pitch.

If you’ve been told hearing aids won’t help your sensorineural hearing loss, it may be time for a second look. Reach out to the experts at Fire Audiology and Hearing Center to discuss all available treatment options.

Ever feel like you can hear people speaking but can’t quite make out the words?

This is a common sign of hearing loss. Often, higher-pitched sounds, especially consonants, are affected first. That means speech may sound loud enough, but clarity is missing, making it feel like people are mumbling or talking too fast.

If understanding conversations has become frustrating, you’re not alone and help is available. Call Fire Audiology and Hearing Center to learn more about hearing evaluations and treatment options.

Today’s AI-enabled hearing aids learn from your environments and adapt automatically, which is great for busy, noisy days.

Set up location-based modes (home, office, favorite café) and ask us to prioritize the voices you hear most often for easier conversations. If listening still feels tiring, a quick fine-tune can reduce fatigue without sacrificing clarity.
