How long have you worked for Medilodge?

How many positions have you held, and how long in your current position?
I have worked at Medilodge for 2 years. I was a hospitality aide for a year before moving into housekeeping.

What is your favorite part of your job?
Seeing the results of my work and building friendships with coworkers and residents.

What advice would you give someone just starting their career in your field?
Clean as you go, no matter how stressful it gets.

What's your go-to way to unwind and recharge after a busy day or week?
Take a nap.

Do you have a favorite quote or motto that you live by?
"When have you been at your strongest?" asks the boy.
"When have you dared to show your weakness?"

What is a fun fact about you that may surprise people?
I love to draw.

Is there anything else about you that you would like us to highlight in your employee spotlight?
I don’t think so.

🎄 Adopt a Senior This Christmas! 🎁

This holiday season, we’re coordinating a special Christmas program — “Adopt a Senior.”
We’re inviting community members, families, and staff to “adopt” one of our residents by purchasing a thoughtful gift to be delivered on Christmas Day.

Many seniors spend the holidays without family nearby, and this program is a beautiful way to share kindness and remind them they’re loved. ❤️

Our residents range in age from 35 to 100, so there’s a wide variety of wishes — from simple treats like Diet Pepsi or cheese balls, to cozy items like puzzle books or new sweatpants.

We kindly ask that all donated items be new or unused.

If you’re able to give a little extra this holiday season, we’d love your support!

Today we’re shining the spotlight on Theresa Cooper, who has dedicated almost 26 years to Medilodge at the Shore! Theresa has held 7 different positions during her time here and has been thriving in her current role for 3 years.

💖 Favorite part of the job: Getting to know her residents.
💡 Advice for newcomers: Communication is key in healthcare—it improves patient outcomes, fosters teamwork, and prevents misunderstandings.
🍷 Way to unwind: Watching a movie or sports with a glass of wine.
✨ Favorite quote: “Be the change that you wish to see in this world.”
🛼 Fun fact: Theresa loves roller skating! She was so talented that the owner of her local rink wanted her on their speed team.
