✨ We had an incredible time at the be nice. Family Fun Fest this past weekend! ✨

Hosted at DeVos Place, this amazing (and free!) community event brought families together for a day full of connection, fun, and meaningful conversations around mental health.

At Mosaic Counseling, we’re proud to stand alongside organizations like be nice. that are working to remove stigma and create safe, supportive spaces for individuals and families. From hands-on activities to uplifting moments of connection, it was inspiring to see our community show up for one another.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, shared your stories, and helped continue the conversation around mental health and family wellbeing.

Last night was nothing short of magical ✨🎭

To everyone who supported, attended, performed, volunteered, and believed in our Cabaret Gala - thank you. Your presence, your energy, and your generosity made the evening unforgettable. A special thank you to our incredibly talented performers who brought passion, artistry, and heart to the stage - you inspired us all.

We are so grateful to each of you for sharing your time and your treasure with Mosaic. Because of you, we are able to continue shining a light on mental health and expanding access to care that is affordable, professional, and compassionate.

We are incredibly grateful to Representative Greg VanWoerkom for the opportunity to testify Monday afternoon before the LEO House Subcommittee in Lansing - and for sponsoring Mosaic’s request in the House in this year’s budget.

We are also thankful for the long - and still growing - list of bipartisan co-sponsors who are standing alongside Mosaic. Your collective support speaks volumes about the importance of expanding access to affordable, accessible, and professional mental health services in our communities.

It was an honor for our Executive Director and Director of Strategic Initiatives to share more about the work we do and the impact Mosaic continues to make. We are proud to advocate for the individuals and families we serve every day.

Mosaic was happy to attend a Community Gathering that brought Kent County together to reflect on resilience, connection, and the power of lifting one another up.

One of the most meaningful parts was seeing so many students in attendance, including several from schools where our outreach programs are active. It was inspiring to watch students learn not only from speakers and community leaders, but from one another - from their peers’ stories, their strength, and their lived experiences.

A heartfelt thank you to Hon. Lupe Ramos-Montigny for her continued dedication and leadership that helps create spaces for young voices to be heard and celebrated.

✨ Celebrating connection, women in leadership, and community!

Last week, members of the Mosaic Counseling team had the opportunity to attend the Michigan West Coast Chamber of Commerce's Lakeshore Women Connect - an inspiring event that welcomes women into the business community while celebrating those stepping into new leadership roles.

🌟 We were proud to have Mosaic represented by our: Board Member Michele Chaney, Executive Director Sarah Lewakowski, and Director of Strategic Initiatives Stephanie Szymas.

Alongside so many incredible women and new friends from across the Lakeshore community, it was an energizing reminder of the power of connection, collaboration, and leadership.

A special thank you to Haworth for hosting such a wonderful evening, and congratulations to the 2026 Honorees as they shared their inspiring journeys and leadership stories.

At Mosaic Counseling, we believe strong communities are built when people come together to support one another - in business, in leadership, and in mental health. Mosaic Counseling had the honor of attending Governor Gretchen Whitmer's final State of the State address in Lansing - a meaningful evening of reflection, leadership, and connection.

We were grateful to hear Governor Whitmer underscore the importance of affordable and accessible mental health care - a priority deeply aligned with Mosaic’s mission and the communities we serve across Kent and Ottawa Counties.

It was wonderful to reconnect with so many members of our Kent and Ottawa County delegations and partners who continue to champion access to mental health care in Michigan.

A special recognition to Senate Majority Leader Winnie Brinks, as this was also her final State of the State address. We are incredibly thankful for her steady leadership and for being a true champion of Mosaic and community-based mental health care.

We are also deeply grateful to:
• Senator Roger Victory for generously hosting our Executive Director, Sarah, as his personal guest on the House floor
• Representative Greg VanWoerkom for hosting our Director of Strategic Initiatives, Stephanie, in the Gallery
• Our outstanding advocacy partners at McAlvey Merchant & Associates for their ongoing work and for welcoming us at their reception

Our Executive Director and Director of Strategic Initiatives look forward to being back in Lansing soon - continuing to advocate, collaborate, and work alongside our lawmakers to expand affordable, accessible mental health services for more Michiganders.
