"This is March 28th, 2025!" I think to myself as I smell the delicious aroma and take a sip of my rich, dark, hot coffee. It is a rather warm day for this time of year, so I am enjoying the beautiful morning out on my back deck. The air is slightly chilly, but the sun on my skin feels so warm and comforting. I can hear the spring time birds chirping and singing in the trees that grow along the gurgling creek. Earlier in the day, I had seen three deer cross the creek. I love seeing all the animals that enjoy the nature of our open back yard. I glance down by the edge of our Monolithic Dome home, and I am delighted to see the daffodils are getting ready to really bloom!
Suddenly, my two grandchildren come running around from the side yard! My son and his family have arrived for their Sunday visit! My 10 year old granddaughter hurries up to me and says, "Safta, hypnotize me! Hypnotize me!
My son, Stephen, who just joined us, because he was walking instead of running, laughs and tells her, "Say please, Chaiya!"
"PLEASE hypnotize me, Safta!
"Me too, Safta! Me too, please!" says our 9 year old grandson, Zephan.
"Do you REALLY want to be hypnotized?"
"Yes!" they both confirm.
"Is it okay with your dad?" I ask, knowing that it is.
"Yes!" they both squeal.
"Am I the best hypnotist ever?" I ask, with a wink at my son.
"Yeah!"
"Okay, then. Sit down over here...put your hands on your legs...look at me...", and I take them through some fun suggestability tests and hypnotic experiences that everyone enjoys. Then I send them into the yard to play, so I can visit with Stephen.
"So, Mom, how has your week been?" he asks me.
I eagerly tell him about how I was doing an unplanned hypnosis session at a coffee shop for my friend who was having problems sleeping. When I got done with the short session, there was a small group of people gathered around. I was able to do two more hypnotic gift sessions before I had to leave the cafe.
"I love when that happens!"
