Brain Tumor: What You Should Know
A brain tumor is an abnormal growth of cells in or around the brain. It can be benign (non-cancerous) or malignant (cancerous) but regardless of the type, it deserves serious attention because the brain controls everything we do.
Common warning signs may include persistent headaches, seizures, vision or speech changes, memory problems, weakness on one side of the body, or sudden changes in behavior. These symptoms are often ignored or mistaken for stress, migraine, or spiritual attacks but early medical evaluation can be life-saving.
Brain tumors are not caused by witchcraft or curses. They are medical conditions that require proper diagnosis, usually through scans like CT or MRI, and treatment may involve surgery, medication, radiotherapy, or a combination depending on the type and stage.
The key message is awareness and early action. Listen to your body. Don’t normalize symptoms that persist or worsen. Seek medical help early, ask questions, and support those going through this journey with compassion not stigma.
Your health matters. Your brain matters.
