Colorado it’s time to open your voice for this young, innocent man.

Last words of a young Black man murdered by police. Elijah McClain was walking on the sidewalk listening to his headphones, swinging his arms. Elijah loved music and he often played violin for kittens at a local shelter. Elijah was also an introvert and anemic, which made him feel cold all the time. A person called 911 because Elijah was wearing a mask to keep himself warm, the caller said there didn't appear to be any sign of trouble or harm.

When police approached Elijah, he told the officers he had a right to go where he was going. Then when they grabbed him, he said he was an introvert and didn't want any trouble. One of the officers noticed another officer had his body cam pointed toward the incident, so he turned the camera away while an officer choked Elijah with the same chokehold that has killed so many innocent lives. Elijah told the officers he loved them. He told them he was a good boy. They choked out Elijah's life, then injected him with a drug dose intended for someone three times his body weight.

Elijah McClain was an innocent boy. A saint. He was killed for walking by the police. You can't "reform" this.
