Words cannot express how deeply I love this woman and the positive impact she has had on the staff and clients of SCVH. Most likely, you have had the pleasure of interacting with Liz in some capacity. Maybe she has put you to ease with her calm voice, maybe she offered you a cup of tea or maybe she just sat and listened.
She is truly one on the kindest humans I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. She shows compassion for both our clients and patients. She is strong, brave, sassy and a true Brit!
And now she needs your help. Earlier this year, Liz was diagnosed with cancer and is now about to undergo one of the toughest battles of her life, undergoing a lifesaving liver transplant.
The surgery and recovery will require her family to relocate four hours away from home for 6 months, so she can receive the care and monitoring she needs. During that time, they will be covering the costs of temporary housing, meals, travel, and other daily expenses, all while focusing on her healing and recovery.
It's our turn as a community to help this amazing woman and show her the kindness she shows everyone, every day.
