St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation supports the mission of St. Mary's Hospital Foundation is a not-for-profit organization which raises funds for St.

Mary’s Medical Center through the philanthropic investment of individuals, corporations and foundations. Mary's Hospital programs and services. Mary's Hospital Foundation is part of the Mesa County Enterprise Zone and has been approved for the following projects: Caregiver Education, K9 Security Program, Community Connections, and Patient Compassion Funds.

Thank you Coloramo Federal Credit Union

In May, Coloramo Federal Credit Union hosted their annual charity golf tournament, the Hero Classic Golf Tournament, and thanks to the generosity of sponsors and players, an incredible $15,880 was raised. These proceeds are being split between two outstanding local causes:

1. CareFlight of the Rockies, a not-for-profit organization which provides life-saving air and ground transport services throughout our region.

2. The St. Mary’s Nurse Education Program, which supports nurses serving our community’s health care needs.

Thank you for your continued support, not just of our credit union, but of our greater Grand Junction community. 💙

The Cummings Family Fund: A Legacy of Compassion

The Cummings Family Fund was established by Dan Cummings, a man whose personal experience with cancer inspired a lasting legacy of generosity and hope. During his own cancer journey, Dan saw firsthand how the disease affects every aspect of a person's life - not just health, but also the ability to manage everyday expenses like rent, groceries, daycare, and transportation.

Moved by the financial and emotional struggles faced by many patients, Dan created the fund to provide direct support for individuals undergoing cancer treatment. His goal was simple but profound: to ease the burden for others so they could focus on healing, not hardship.

Tragically, Dan lost his own battle with cancer in 2006 at the age of 33. But through the Cummings Family Fund, his spirit of compassion lives on. Every gift made in his honor continues to support St. Mary's cancer patients in need - offering them not only practical relief but also the powerful reminder that they are not alone.

We are excited to share that the Colorado Mesa University Hockey Team had another amazing year, raising a record donation of $36,241. This brings their total contributions to St. Mary's to over $170,000 in the past eight years.

These donations will be helping fund the St. Mary's Cancer Assistance Fund, which aids cancer patients in paying everyday expenses that don't stop while undergoing treatment, such as daycare, utility bills, and transportation. This on-the-spot help can often make the difference between being able to attend a treatment appointment.
