Well, it’s September 1, 2021 and 40 years ago today I began my Chiropractic career. I wonder what life would be like if I was still paying $178 a month rent. I want to thank all my wonderful patients. A couple of months ago I looked up the first visit date of all the patients I saw that day. The calculations showed that, on average, I had been taking care of those patients for 24 years. On average, of the 1,000 different patients that I see in a year, 300 are new patients and 700 are existing. Some, I would see once every 10 years. It makes me think of some of the new patients who are transfers who have been convinced they need to see a chiropractor every week or every month. Anyway, it has been a blast and I’ll see if I can make 50 years. Thank you all.

Happy Holidays from us here at Applied Chiropractic Health Center. Just a reminder for our amazing patients, we will be in the office for half the day Christmas eve by appointment only(8:00 am - 12:00 pm) and we will be closed on Christmas day. The office will be operating on regular hours Monday-Wednesday.

I just learned that a mask that hides you cheek and mouth wrinkles and your jowls and allows your eyes to sparkle and makes you look younger. Talk about a silver lining.

We are back in business. We have made some changes. Wear a mask. Don't come if you have two of the following; a fever (over 100.4), dry cough, new loss of taste, shortness of breath, sore throat or nasal congestion. We will take your temp, teach you to wash your hands, before and after treatment, and use barriers between doctor and patient. No ties for the doctor. Each appointment is 30 minutes long and don't come early or late. For the patients, that saw their medical doctors because we were closed, were charged too much, subjected to expensive imagining, had no improvement and were better after one visit this week, I apologize. I can't wait to see you all back in the office. It turns out that 30 minute appointments are great for catching up. Addition to permanent Christmas list, no ties, just Clorox wipes, gloves, masks, alcohol wipes and Lysol spray. Best to everyone.

I enjoy observing the world and the cause and effect of events. I have some personal observations. Before we were shut down by the state I got up each morning and took my temperature to see if I should get ready for work or not. I discovered that by morning temperature was between 95 and 97 degrees. This is a sign of a low thyroid. I've been taking some Iodine to bring it back up. Interesting.

Between 1976 and 2003 medical doctors in various parts of the world have gone on strike 5 times and in each case the death rate was significantly less. Interesting.

I wonder what the effect of closed Chiropractic offices will be. I suppose some patient will discover just how much Chiropractic care is needed and how much is hype. Interestingly I hear that some offices are ignoring the directive from DORA and are still treating patients. I wonder if that is the high utilization offices? Interesting.
