Safety, Inc. specializes in providing safety-related training and consulting services to various government and privately owned entities.

Employees are an employer’s primary asset; keeping those individuals knowledgeable of the hazards in their work environment –and thus ensuring their safety– is a difficult compliance challenge for any employer. Safety, Inc.’s professional staff can aid its small and large customers, either privately owned or government-operated, with safety training. By assisting its customers in understanding regulatory issues, Safety, Inc. allows employers and their staff to focus on what they do best: be productive and profitable while growing their business in a safe manner.

We’re excited to welcome Retired U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer Mack Mayfield to the Safety Inc. team!

Mack brings over 20 years of distinguished service in the U.S. Navy, where he most recently served as a Training Program Manager at Naval Air Station Whiting Field — home of the next generation of Navy and Marine Corps aviators learning to dominate the skies.

During his career, Mack also served as Weapons Program Manager for F/A-18 Attack Squadrons aboard the USS Carl Vinson, USS John C. Stennis, USS Ronald Reagan, and USS Nimitz. In these roles, he led and trained teams in program oversight, explosive assembly, safety compliance, and quality assurance.

After retiring from the Navy, Mack and his family returned to his hometown of Eugene, Oregon, where he continues to grow professionally while spending well-deserved time with loved ones.

Mack’s leadership, expertise, and mission-focused mindset make him an incredible addition to our team and operations at Safety, Inc.

Equipment Operator training for the Town of Vail. The Safety, Inc. team conducted a multi-day equipment operator training covering a wide range of equipment used by Town of Vail employees. This customized delivery included classroom fundamentals followed by DOT/ equipment specific inspections, and operator evaluations. Increasing competency to increase Safety.

Safety, Inc. is proud to welcome US Navy Veteran John Gensel to our team! With over 15 years of experience in safety-driven roles across military, construction, and manufacturing sectors, John brings unparalleled expertise. Starting his career at Delphi Automotive, he mastered production safety and quality in auto manufacturing. He later supported large-scale wind energy projects with Blattner Energy in West Texas. During his 10-year service in the US Navy as a Propulsion Systems Engineer and Aviation Maintenance Administrator, John led critical safety, maintenance, and quality assurance programs for complex shipboard and aviation systems.

Residing in Virginia with his family, John will bolster Safety, Inc.’s operations in Washington state and beyond. We’re thrilled to have such a high-caliber professional join our mission-driven team. Welcome, John!

Jesse Willett performing various IH sampling at an underground uranium mine in Colorado. Sampling included silica dust, diesel particulate, and a full sound study. Photos of the glowing rock are minerals that illuminate under blacklight with all other lights off. Fun fact, the brass board has long been used by miners to “brass in and brass out” which helps keep track of who is in the mine. In worst case scenarios, the brass number in a miners pocket can help identify them… Different world underground!
