Our Story

Mountain Creek Cemetery was started in 2019. It is located in Grand Prairie, TX between Marshall and Pioneer Parkway, at the corner of Hardy Road, and Avenue D. It is adjacent to Mountain Creek Lake Park and very near Mountain Creek Lake. The cemetery itself goes back into the 1880's. A small 3 acre part of it was deeded for use in 1984. Although it is next to Mountain Creek Cemetery, it is a separate cemetery and is in no way associated with our property. After careful consideration, it was decided to do something unique in the DFW area. Mountain Creek Cemetery is North Texas only Hybrid Cemetery. We offer Traditional Burials like every other cemetery, but also offer Green Burials. Green burials are Ecologically friendly burials that are substantially less expensive than modern burials. Mountain Creek Cemetery has been Certified as a Hybrid Cemetery by the Green Burial Council since September of 2019. Our goal is to provide options for burials that not only are good for the environment, but provide families with affordable alternatives to today’s needs!
