During a Pap smear, we look for abnormal cervical cells and early cellular changes that could develop into cancer over time. When we identify those changes early, we can monitor or treat them long before they become something more serious like cancer.

Cervical cancer is one of the most preventable cancers we see in women’s health because of routine screenings.

If it’s been a while since your last well-woman exam, this is your reminder. Preventive care isn’t about waiting for symptoms, it’s about staying ahead of them.

Schedule your annual exam. You deserve it.

As a Certified Menopause Practitioner, I’ve completed advanced training to help women navigate hormone changes with evidence-based, personalized care — not one-size-fits-all solutions.

From hot flashes and sleep issues to mood changes, weight shifts, and brain fog, menopause can impact every part of life — and you deserve real support through it.

If you’re ready to feel like yourself again, I’m here to help guide you through your options and create a plan that fits your body and your goals.

One of the biggest myths I hear in my office is that menopause changes don’t start until periods stop — and that simply isn’t true.

You can have regular (or mostly regular) cycles and still be in perimenopause. Hormones often begin shifting years before menopause, and that’s when symptoms like anxiety, sleep trouble, brain fog, heavier or shorter cycles, hot flashes, and mood changes can begin.

As a menopause-trained Ob-Gyn at Omega Ob-Gyn, I help women recognize these early signs and create a plan that supports their health — instead of brushing symptoms off as “just stress” or “getting older.”

If something feels off, trust your body. Perimenopause may be the reason — and there are options to help you feel better.

As a Certified Menopause Practitioner, I’ve had specialized training in hormone changes during this season of life and how treatments like hormone replacement therapy (HRT) can help so many women feel like themselves again — sleeping better, thinking clearer, having more energy, and getting relief from symptoms they didn’t even realize were hormone-related.

If you’ve been struggling and wondering if this is just part of getting older, it doesn’t have to be. There are real options and real relief.

I wish more people understood the preventative benefits of vaginal estrogen—it’s something I talk to many patients about. It’s a small, inexpensive way to make significant benefits to your health. If you’re my patient, let’s talk about whether it’s a good fit for you.

I send out a monthly newsletter where I share a little more behind the scenes of life at the office and at home, along with Ob-Gyn tips, wellness inspiration, and updates on what’s happening here at Omega.

It’s a great way to stay connected, learn helpful health information, and get a closer look at our practice beyond social media.

One of the most important values I have in my practice as an obgyn is believing women and their experiences. Often, small changes can make all the difference in your health and quality of life.

I always encourage my patients to come to every prenatal appointment — even when everything feels like it’s going smoothly.

Each visit allows me to check on your baby’s growth, monitor your health, catch potential concerns early, and answer questions you may not even realize you have yet. Some pregnancy complications don’t come with obvious symptoms, which is why routine care is so important.

Showing up consistently is one of the best ways you can care for yourself and your baby throughout pregnancy. We’re here to walk this journey with you every step of the way.

One misconception I see about birth control is that there’s one “best” option for everyone, but that simply isn’t true.

Every woman’s body, hormones, lifestyle, and health history are different. What works great for one person may cause side effects or frustration for another. And those side effects shouldn’t be brushed off as something you just have to live with.

There are many safe and effective birth control options available today and finding the right fit can make a huge difference in how you feel day to day.

My goal is always to help patients feel informed, supported, and confident in their choice. If your current birth control isn’t working for you, let’s talk about better options together.

When I was looking to add a nurse practitioner to our team, I didn’t take the decision lightly. I interviewed many highly qualified candidates but quickly after meeting DarNesha, I knew she was exceptional.

DarNesha is dual board-certified as both a Family Nurse Practitioner and a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, with over 10 years of experience in labor and delivery and public health. She has dedicated her entire career to caring for women — and it shows in every patient interaction.

Her upbringing and deep passion for women’s health have shaped the thoughtful, compassionate provider she is today. She is especially committed to adolescent health, STD prevention, and providing comprehensive care for women at every stage of life.

Working together as a team allows us to provide more thorough, collaborative care. We communicate closely, support one another, and work side by side to make sure every patient feels heard, respected, and cared for.

I’m incredibly proud to have DarNesha on our team and grateful for the impact she makes every day. When you come to our office you’re supported by a team that genuinely cares about your health and your experience.
