I saw this sign from Nike for the Boston Marathon and honestly… it doesn’t sit right with me.

“Runners welcome. Walkers tolerated.”

Tolerated? 😬

At Hot Flash Run Club, we don’t tolerate walkers.
We don’t tolerate intervals.
We don’t tolerate beginners.

We celebrate them.

Because walking is movement.
Intervals are training.
Showing up—no matter your pace—is courage.

Not everyone is chasing a PR.
Some are chasing confidence.
Some are rebuilding.
Some are just trying to keep going.

And ALL of that belongs in this community.

If you’ve ever felt like you’re “not a real runner” because you walk…
You are exactly who we run for. 💥

At Hot Flash Run Club:

Hot Flash Run Club was in Washington DC for the Cherry Blossom races. 5k on Saturday and 10 miles on Sunday for the Double Blossom challenge. 🌸
