Muscle of the Week: Hamstrings

Posterior chain power.

Your hamstrings flex the knee, extend the hip, and play a huge role in controlling movement during walking, running, and sprinting. They don’t just create motion, they decelerate it.

Tight? Weak? Overworked?
These three muscles (biceps femoris, semitendinosus, semimembranosus) often tell the story of pelvic stability and low back comfort.

Study it. Palpate it. Understand it.

Whether you are in school, building a business, or chasing a new goal, progress rarely happens all at once. It is built in early mornings, long days, steady practice, and the decision to keep going.

At Synergy Wellness Academy, we see it every week. Growth comes from showing up, doing the work, and trusting the process.

Keep taking the next step. It all adds up.πŸ‘‰ DM us for more details about the school, tuition, and upcoming courses!

πŸ’™ Calling our local LMT community β€” this one’s for you.

One of the ways we build confident, skilled future therapists at Synergy Wellness Academy is by inviting licensed massage therapists into our student clinic for LMT Evaluations.

This is a chance for you to receive a FREE 60-minute student massage session, and in return, we ask for your honest professional feedback through an evaluation afterward. Your insight helps shape how we teach, how our students grow, and how we continue raising the standard of care in our profession.

But this is also our chance to say thank you.
To the LMTs who have supported us since day one β€” through evaluations like this, Google and MassageBook reviews, social shares, referrals, and simply believing in what we’re building β€” we see you and we are incredibly grateful.

- Next LMT Evaluation Night: Thursday, February 26
- Session Times: 6:30 PM or 8:00 PM

If you’ve ever wanted to help shape the next generation of therapists while receiving great bodywork in the process, we’d love to have you join us.

We want to take a moment to speak with care and clarity to our broader wellness community.

Massage therapy is a licensed healthcare profession that exists to protect client safety and uphold high standards of care. Licensed massage therapists dedicate hundreds of hours to education, supervised clinical training, and testing in order to practice ethically and responsibly.

We deeply value the many wellness professionals who provide meaningful, skilled services within their own training and scope of practice - yoga, reiki, holistic health, energy work, breathwork, fitness, and other wellness disciplines - each has its own valuable scope and purpose in supporting health and wellbeing, and that work deserves respect.

At the same time, it’s important that massage therapyβ€”and work that closely resembles itβ€”be practiced only by those who are properly trained and licensed to do so. Using alternative terminology in an attempt to bypass regulations and avoid training to perform massage-like work creates confusion for the public and unintentionally diminishes the integrity of a profession that continues to work toward broader recognition and acceptance within healthcare.

When we all honor licensure laws, scopes of practice, and professional boundaries, we help protect clients, elevate our respective professions, and strengthen the wellness community as a whole.
